We’re celebrating a major milestone here at Master Auto Repair of Webster Groves! Our lead technician and General Manager, Tony Gorden, was recently awarded a medallion from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), honoring his 25 years of ASE Certification. This is a tremendous achievement that shows just how dedicated Tony is to his craft and to giving our customers the best automotive services in St. Louis.

The medallion bears the blue and white ASE logo and the words, “Certified 25 Years.” Included with it was the following message:

Congratulations! As we celebrate your milestone, please accept this medallion as a token of our thanks to you for your professionalism and commitment to excellence for 25+ years.

What Does “ASE Certified” Mean?

ASE Certified Technicians like Tony have verified their competence and technical abilities in the automotive service industry — and they have the credentials to prove it!

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE for short, sets the industry standard with their certification program. This includes testing in various automotive systems. For each exam that is passed, an ASE Certification is awarded.

Becoming ASE Certified is not an easy feat. In order to attain ASE Certification, mechanics must complete a minimum of two years of qualified work experience and pass a challenging test for each certification. To ensure they are up-to-date on current systems and technologies, ASE Certified Technicians are required to prove their technical knowledge by retesting every five years to keep their certifications current.

Why Choose an ASE Certified Mechanic?

  • Expertise: ASE Certified Technicians have proven their ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues.
  • Experience: With years of hands-on training and testing, they bring a level of skill and reliability that only experience can provide.
  • Quality Workmanship: Their commitment to excellence ensures that your vehicle receives the best possible care.
  • Up-to-Date Knowledge: ASE requires recertification every five years, guaranteeing that technicians stay current with the latest automotive technologies.
